These two soldiers manning this flying checkpoint in AsSawiya started flirting with me and asking to look at my pictures. They were bored. I told them I would not talk to them at the expense of a waiting Palestinian. Each time they engaged with me I nodded towards the line they were holding up. Eventually they began quickly letting cars through, hardly checking them at all, until the last one was gone. They asked to see my photos and I reluctantly showed them.
