This is the original plan for the Wall, with Israel annexing the dark green sections, and Palestinians left with islands/cantons in pink & yellow. The plan for the Eastern side of the Wall was suspended, deemed too costly whereas Israel could have the desired effect by simply lining the area east of the yellow with checkpoints--which is what they did. There is no Eastern Wall, but the effect is the same: West Bank Palestinians can now hardly access the eastern third of the West Bank, effectively disconnecting the North West Bank from the South West Bank as well.
